Paper Size
When printing, always select 100% scale or Actual Size in your printer dialog. Never use “Fit to Page” or “Scale to Fit”. Use the calibration square on the template to verify accuracy before cutting.
How It Works
Step 1: Find Your Watch
Search our database for the watch you want, or click “Custom Watch” to enter your own specs. We use the exact case diameter and the super important lug-to-lug measurements.
Step 2: Print the Template
Pick your paper size (US Letter or A4) and download the free PDF. Just make sure your printer is set to “100% Scale” or “Actual Size”. Do not use the “Fit to Page” setting or the math will get messed up.
Step 3: Cut and Try It On
Measure the 1-inch calibration square on the paper with a ruler to double check the size. Then just cut out the watch, wrap the paper straps around your wrist, and see how it wears.
Why Case Diameter Does Not Tell the Whole Story
When you buy a watch online, relying purely on a standard 40mm case diameter can be a huge mistake. The real deciding factor for how a watch fits your wrist is the overall footprint, specifically the lug-to-lug measurement. This is the total vertical distance from the top of the watch down to the bottom. A watch might have a standard case width, but if that lug-to-lug distance is too long, the watch will overhang the edges of your wrist and look completely out of place.
We built Print My Watch to solve this exact problem. Our free printable watch templates map the true case width and exact lug-to-lug dimensions directly onto standard printer paper. By printing and cutting out these 1:1 scale paper mockups, you get a real physical representation of the watch. You can place it directly on your arm and instantly see how much real estate it covers. It is the absolute best way to check the true proportions and guarantee a perfect fit before spending any money.
